Productivity parameters

Occasionally, i am asked how many rounds I take from a pair of Bengalese. I have no precise answer to this question and it depends on lots of factors, many of which I have little control over.

However, I work to several rough guidelines. Normally, I don’t allow a pair to raise more than three rounds of chicks, or for the hen to lay more than four rounds consecutively. Of the 18 breeding pairs that I set at the end of September
