Worcestershire, Upton Warren

TEAM Ride Away I played to their strengths with a confident round over a galloping track to win the open at the Worcestershire team chase.

Taking advantage of a last draw, they got a great lead from Charlotte Alexander and Saphir Du Rheu, who ran with his ears pricked, eating up the ground. Joe Stevenson had a glance-off at the rails before the water with San Cassiano, but soon caught up with Susannah Stanning (Grouse Lodge) and Luke Bacon (Belmount; see box, right) as they took the tightest of turns around a bale marker at the top of the course.

Running back to the big questions in the middle of the course, they made nothing of substantial hedges with ditches first on landing and then on take-off.
