On his southern tour, Wellington reader Jonathan Goodson was joined by some other overlanding enthusiasts from website. Ben McArthur’s family got interested in 4WDing while on holiday in Botswana. They used a Toyota Prado for short overlanding trips. “This experience got us into 4WDing. So when we got back to NZ we ditched our NZ-based car, a Honda and downgraded from the Prado to the Pajero seen in the picture (Mitsi fans will need aloe vera gel for that burn)!” Ben says the Pajero has been used to tour to the tip of the Coromandel Peninsula towing the family camper and laden with mountainbikes. “We love the V6 growl.”
