CAUGHT OUR EYE

QuiltCon 2022 — the largest modern quilting show in the world — was held in Phoenix, Arizona, in February. Best of Show was awarded to Hillary Goodwin of California for her quilt entitled (above). It features 25 eyes pieced in black with a white(below). She transformed the traditional Flying Geese block almost completely, leaving only a recognisable silhouette. Her design was inspired by birds flying over the city in the dark evening sky to the Baltic Sea.
