POWERFUL BOND

Pouring the warmed milk into the bottle, my mind was in overdrive.

In early 2016, our first son, Rowan, was brought into the world.

He was our bundle of joy, and we didn’t know it was possible to feel this much love.

My partner, Greg, 44, and I were over the moon that we were going to be parents.

However, life with a newborn did take some adjusting to – we had a tiny human in our hands!

But when we got home, I started to sense that something wasn’t quite right.

Ro never really seemed aware of much, he wouldn’t react to things like my friends’ babies would and looked startled a lot of the time.

Immediately, my mother’s instinct kicked in.

My poor boy, we need to get him checked out, I thought.

‘Maybe there is something wrong with his vision?’
