Bramham, Yorkshire

MAKING a dash from Keysoe International to Yorkshire paid dividends for Adrian Speight, who won the final Wetherby Skips grand prix in typically determined style, riding Millfield Baloney.

Judith Witham’s versatile Balou Du Rouet Z 16-year-old was described more than once by commentator John Kyle as a winning machine, and he certainly lived up to expectations.

“He thrives on jumping and has won everything from speed classes to puissance and grands prix. He is quick into his stride and he loves a big arena with lots of atmosphere, ” said Adrian.

Bramham’s ring is buzzy and with a partisan Yorkshire crowd close to the rails, Di Boddy’s course was just another part of the test.
