MANY of us know that replacing any official documents probably means taking a day off work to stand in queues at home affairs. And the horror stories abound of people waiting for hours only to be told the system is down and you need to come back another day.

But now, at last, it seems home affairs is stepping into the 21st century and introducing a new system that will put an end to this bureaucratic hell.
