Readers of the June edition of this magazine will have enjoyed Tim Good’s article on his summer in the Scilly Isles. In the course of the narrative, Tim related a chance encounter with the author David Eastburn after his dinghy got stranded by the tide and he had to clamber through his garden. The upshot of this encounter was that Tim and David collaborated on updating David’s excellent guide to the Scillies with a revised version. This provides an intimate overview of some twenty anchorages throughout the islands based on David’s in depth
