Con Air

They don’t make action movies like Con Air anymore, but that may be because the team that made Con Air didn’t really know how to make action movies. Twenty-five years ago, its director Simon West was a breakout filmmaker known for creating comedic commercials and music videos (including Rick Astley’s ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’), so when mega-producer Jerry Bruckheimer invited him to look at a few scripts, he was eager to try something different.
