As noted over in this month’s Privacy and Security column, routers are currently one of the primary vectors of attack against home users. A hacker who takes control of your router has the capacity to monitor and modify all unencrypted data going into and out of your home. They can watch you and gather information for days, weeks or months, without you ever knowing. There are real attacks of this nature that have compromised tens of thousands of routers, and we’re here to make sure that you don’t suffer the same.
