Garmin has launched a next-generation combined display and control unit for its autopilots. The GHC 50 is effectively a mini touch screen MFD (multifunction display) dedicated to all the functions associated with today’s sophisticated autopilots. At a basic level, users can control the heading of their boat with a single touch. Different screens provide all key information at a glance when steering a compass course, or steering a constant wind angle. There’s also a choice of automated search patterns.
