What a sport

WAS amused and pleased to see my photograph in COUNTRY LIFE (), 60 years after it last appeared, and thought you might like an updated version, taken at Wimbledon this year. My red-carpet moment with Tom Cruise was a highlight and I did ask him if I was too late to do any of his stunts! I have written, in which I recall winning the French, Italian and Swiss tournaments for a grand total of £40; it was £15 for being runner-up at Wimbledon. A different era, but glamorous, too.
