With several attempted murders (one successful!), religious zealotry, incest and some conspicuously placed rat poison, the prequel’s horror story. Spoiled Corinne Foxworth (Hannah Dodd, below)—in love with her half brother, Christopher (Callum Kerr)—flounces out the door, seemingly forever. Having sacrificed so much, obsessive mother Olivia (Jemima Rooper) then warps and hardens into the monster who would one day lock her grandchildren away.
