Re Michèle A’Court’s “Funny Business” column on the Penguin Post Office in Antarctica ( May 23). My dad spent a year as the postmaster of Antarctica in 1983 to 1984 and he loved his job. He was actually the oldest person on staff that year. Here are some photos of him at work in the South Pole. He even voted in the New Zealand election there. He was also on the TV programme.
