Blooming pink roses are gently supported by the honey-hued Bath stone walls of Minnie Tatham’s 16th-century farmhouse, while in the borders below, irises and alliums stand to attention. Heavy boughs of wisteria hang ripe with vibrant purple petals, and nearby, neatly trimmed bushes of lemon verbena, mint, Mediterranean rosemary and fat pink chive flowers sway gently in the warm summer sunshine.
