How did you first get into quilting?
In 2017, my daughter Lucy started attending preschool at a church in our neighbourhood. Once a month, the Santa Monica Quilt Guild would hold their meetings at the same church. I had no idea what the guild was or what they were doing, but the vibrant stacks of fluffy quilts (and the bountiful spread of homemade snacks and refreshments) always got me peeking in the door when I picked up my daughter. After I’d poked my head in a few times, the guild members insisted I come in and stay. Next thing I knew, I was a member of the Santa Monica Quilt Guild, despite never having made a quilt before. A member named Judith quickly remedied that, however, by inviting me to her home for tea and quilting lessons!
Are there any people in your life who have inspired your work?
The three artists whose work I cannot get enough of are Kendra Dandy, Anne Bentley, and Angela Chrusciaki Blehm. They often use shockingly bright colours that clash in a surprisingly pleasant way, which
