Your Horse

Welcome

YOUR HORSE HAS long been my favourite magazine, so I’m over the moon to have been appointed as the new editor, taking over from Aimi Clark, who remains at the helm of the brilliant yourhorse.co.uk.

I spent office, but I always felt that I was the typical reader, if there is such a thing! I started riding aged five, was an obsessively horse-mad child, and I still keep horses to this day — horses are in my very soul, after all. However, I have had breaks from the saddle in between, one of 15 years, and I freely admit that I’ve never been the bravest. I was reasonably courageous up to my 30s, at which point my life took me in a different (urban) direction after my chestnut mare (yes, she was a typical red head) died. Since then, and after retaking the reins again after other birthdays, I’ve suffered from anxiety, largely the result of falls and stupidly buying a bolter, who shattered what bravery I had left after my many bumpy encounters with terra firma.
