Plum job for bees

On a recent wintry morning, I pulled open the bedroom curtains and overnight, it seemed, the plum trees had burst into blossom. They look as though they have been dusted delicately in snow. The bees have returned and are already in bee heaven, as have the wax-eyes, those tiny, pretty, helpful birds – they eat my aphids.
The blossoming of the plum trees happens every year,
