25 Beautiful Homes

WELCOME

e are constantly inspired by the vision of so many home owners that we’re lucky. And the stories behind many of the houses showcased in this issue are no exception. Georgina Copeland’s first impressions of the rundown Hampshire cottage she went to view were far from enthusiastic. ‘I thought the house was very ugly and badly laid out,’ she says. Fast forward several years and with some New England inspiration as her creative diving force, the house now has well-planned rooms that flow easily from one to the other, while making the most of the gorgeous views across the countryside to the coast. You can admire the results on page 72 . In Wiltshire, Stephen and Shan Treadaway were able to realise their long-held dream when they bought a rundown farmhouse, as well as two derelict barns and three holiday cottages. And when they saw the scope of the challenge in front of them, they even gave up their jobs to focus on the renovations. See the wonderful results on page 101.
