My Friend Jack’s Amazing “Dateles” Coin Finds

I’ve been collecting since 1956 when I was 8 years old and my grandmother gave me her bag of Indian Head pennies. When I was 13, I went to work in our family’s record store where I was allowed to search through the cash drawer to add to my collection.

But this story isn’t about me. It’s about my friend, Jack, who is even older than I am to read for years, and recently he gave me a bag of coins that took him 10 years to collect. They are all uncirculated. What I mean is that they are no longer in circulation. He calls them “dateless.”
