Tell us about your early days of kiting.
I started kiting 20 years ago, the plan being to have a sport to do during the summer, as I loved snowboarding at the time. But it didn’t go to plan and I’ve ended up kiting all year round! Equipment was very different back then – I used a directional sort of windsurf board, which I think I still have somewhere. And we had two-line kites with no depower or quick-release.
