Operate your Layout over the Internet

Introduction
For remote operators to run trains on your layout over the Internet, they need to be able to see and hear trains on the layout, and you need to set up the methodology.
These days, most people have participated in Zoom, Whereby, Skype or other video conferencing sessions, so the first requirement is easy to achieve.
The second item is fairly straightforward; the hardest thing is coming to grips with the terminology used.
This article will explain what needs to be done in layman’s terms.
The article presumes that you have a computer running DecoderPro (Editor note: refer https://tinyurl.com/9cjnvskn) connected to your layout and that the computer is on your home network, connected to the Internet.
You also need to have a locomotive roster in DecoderPro containing at least the locomotives you want to use during the session.

The remote operators need a computer for the Video Conferencing (VC) session and a smartphone (or another computer) for the cab/throttle.
