EYE OF THE BEHOLDER

It’s quite incredible how riding waves dictates so many decisions in your life if you’re a true surfer. But I’m getting ahead of myself.

Growing up, my dad was in the photographic industry, so I was always around cameras and shooting on film from a young age. I was never particularly great at it, but I understood the principles of light and composition and felt comfortable using the gear.

Around the mid 90s, after doing a Bachelor of Science degree, I sent my CV to every land surveyor along the coast;
