Teresa passed away on March 4, 2020, aged 92. Whenever one of our signoras dies, it’s like losing a favourite aunt, so even though she featured in Pasta Grannies’ first book of home-perfected Italian recipes, I’m putting another recipe of hers in this one as a way of saying “addio” (farewell).
We first met her as one of a group of lively women making for our programme. She stayed out of the hubbub and quietly got on with opening the mussels. And then it turned out she had a great sense of humour and was a whiz at making pasta, so of course we had to film her
