Acknowledge allergies and emotions. Chronic skin conditions such as atopic eczema can have a profound effect on the quality of life of little ones who suffer from it, and their parents. See a dermatologist and/or allergist with a special interest in the condition, and follow their advice to a T. Also manage the psychological impact. South Africa’s childhood cancer survival rate has gradually increased over the past few years to about 55 percent, but there is certainly room for improvement. In developed countries the rate is 80 to 90 percent.
