PUBLIC LAND ACCESS ORGANISATIONS AND HEALTH AND SAFTEY

NZDA makes submissions to government to ensure the interests of hunters and shooters are considered. We do this locally at a branch level, but also nationally out of the head office based in Wellington.

NZDA is in the fortunate position of having an inhouse lawyer who regularly highlights access issues and works to co-ordinate input and responses. This work isn't visible but it goes on every week. Recently large submissions were made on Stewardship Land and Tenure Reviews.

Access means different things - it's not just a locked gate. It's landing permits, it's forestry block
