OPPORTUNITIES COME WITH GROWTH

Spring growth is like candy to animals and after what could be one of the wettest winters on record, along with some very cold weeks, you can bet that there will be some hungry mouths out there.

WHY

So, what makes spring time so good? It's the As we all know, during winter vegetation becomes dormant and its value as food decreases. But the rigours of winter reguire an increase in energy consumption in animals. This can start to lead into a body condition deficit by the end of the winter. As hunters, we know that feeling - just like living out of your pack for ten days with only the food that you can carry. It's going to get you through, however the feast of a pub platter at the end of the trip is going to get hammered once you are out of there. A nice sun-soaked clearing is the platter at the pub for a deer.
