• Spyglass had picked up the rights from Dimension. David Goyer wrote a treatment while I was working on . Having come off of that movie, that has some -like themes, it only made sense that they approached the team and asked us “What will you do with this?” I actually didn’t know that was loosely based on a pitch that the writers had taken to Dimension way back in 2012. They had hit a wall, of course, and sort of come to the conclusion that they would never get to make a movie, so they’d have to just come up with their, which is very different than ’22 in tone and story but in spirit and theme, in some ways, you can kind of see the common ground. We were lucky to be there and to be able to have the conversation, and I myself never imagined I’d get to work on a movie [laughs]. I’d said that it’s a dream come true. What an incredible undertaking, an incredible world to play in. I just never thought I’d get the shot.
