John Hulse: a journey to cinnamons

CANARIES

OVER the past few years, I've read a few articles about the English cinnamon canaries, which I found really interesting since I'd never heard of this canary. The articles were informative about the history and made it plain how rare these canaries really are now with only a few breeders left in the UK.

I was advised that if I required more information on this breed to join Brian Gregory's Facebook group, which is dedicated solely to this breed of canary. After chatting to a few members of the group, it seemed that most of them had purchased their stock from John Hulse of Wolverhampton. John himself has only had this breed for a few years, yet has been more than successful in breeding them when many others had only bred very small numbers. I always think you are
