hen I first touched a snake during my training, I could barely look at it. Any sudden movements and I’d jump. For most of my life, I was taught the opposite of what I know now. The message was never to conserve snakes, but to keep your distance and know that they are evil creatures, a sign of witchcraft, or a bad omen. We were told to never look them in
