Sack A Late-Season 10-pound Beast

THE BUCKET LIST for many bass anglers includes catching a largemouth that weighs 10 pounds or more before heading up yonder. Relatively few anglers ever cross this wish off their list. Even a good number of Bassmaster Elite Series pros have yet to do so.

One notable exception is Texan Chris Zaldain, who has sacked a slew of heavyweight bass while fishing the Elite Series. Zaldain began tangling with 10-pounders in the early 2000s when he lived in California.
