'This was the first room where I began to understand how to put a look together. I started becoming more mindful of colour while considering how I wanted the room to feel as well as the aesthetic. I was keen for this space to have a relaxed vibe so I chose Johnstone's Chapel Stone for the walls, a muted shade, which allows the sofa and yellow armchair to shine. Rather than having random colours thrown in just because I liked them, I picked out tones from the furniture for the accessories to bring cohesion to the room. Adding industrial elements and greenery helped the look come together and the finishing touch was the gallery wall, where every picture is personal to us.'
