PDA or PD-nay?

A few years ago, I was holding hands with my girlfriend at a gig. It wasn’t a rare occurrence: we would often engage in subtle acts of affection and had never been deterred by public attitudes. Aside from one potentially menacing glare, we’d never experienced an iota of negativity. However, one day, this turned in an instant. A man questioned us on our relationship, and proceeded to incessantly touch the both of us, asking for a threesome. A deeply unsettling experience, we were endlessly cautious about PDA after that day.

I’ve experienced biphobia whilst engaging in PDA with my current boyfriend, too. Recently, we were having a drink in a pub and a seemingly well-intentioned man, who quickly identified himself as gay, decided that he wanted to have a little chat. He had started to tell us his life story
