Artist kate-hers RHEE won the 2022 Korea Arts Foundation of America Award on June 22. RHEE received a cash prize of USD 20,000 and the opportunity for a solo exhibition at the Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles in 2023.
On July 6, Abbas Zahedi clinched the Frieze Artist Award 2022 with his proposal for Waiting With {Sonic Support} (2022), a wooden structure resembling a bus stop. The installation will debut in October at Frieze London.
Melbourne’s Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) named James Nguyen the recipient of the AUD 80,000 (USD 54,000) Copyright Agency Partnerships Commission on July 6. Nguyen’s multilingual Open Glossary will be presented by ACCA in September 2023.
