How to post baked items
Posting bars, cakes, cookies and confectionery is easier than you think. To ensure your creations travel well, there are two main considerations: how you wrap and pack your items, and the shelf life you are working with.
Tip
It’s important that your recipients know exactly what is inside the goodies you send them, including any allergens. Write out the ingredients on a card and enclose it in the parcel. This card is also a good place to note how long the items will keep for and how they should be stored.

Shelf life
Check the recipe you plan to make before you post it, to ensure that it is fit for purpose, then you need to select your method of postage based on the shelf life. Items with shorter shelf lives (up to a week) should be sent using next-day delivery services, while items with longer shelf lives can be sent using standard delivery.
