THE Veg Pledge, where you promise to avoid eating meat for a whole month, was started by Cancer Research UK. You can, of course, make the pledge at any time, but November is when most make the vow. Although I do eat meat, I have reduced my intake of it, and my favourite restaurant is purely vegan – it’s in the New Forest, name provided on application!
