Standing under a stream of hot water, I wiped soap suds over my body.
The smell of my favourite shower gel filled the bathroom, and I felt my muscles relax under the hot water.
I had been getting a lot of pain in my body – especially in my back and right arm.
My GP had put this down to endometriosis, something I have had since I was 19.
Only, as I washed the soap from my chest, I noticed something strange.
A stretch mark on my breast – a reminder of my pregnancy with my son Cameron, now four – had stretched.
It looked wider.
That’s strange, I thought. I think something might be wrong.
I wasn’t sure what was happening to me, but I knew something wasn’t quite right.
I knew my body, and the pain I had been feeling, and the changes to my breasts wasn’t normal.
