When Sione’s Wedding hit the big screen in 2006, it was an instant hit. It broke the record for the biggest opening weekend of any New Zealand film and turned its stars – the comedy group The Naked Samoans – into household names.
With the release of the new prequel series Duckrockers on TVNZ 2, the Weekly caught up with the original cast to reminisce about the groundbreaking movie.
