NOVEMBER already. As I write, I still have a few later-bred birds finishing off their moult, but in the main my stock has been thinned down nicely, and I can more or less concentrate on the birds I shall be keeping for next year's breeding programme. I love it when I can focus on the birds I mainly wish to keep.
As always, I have retained birds I am able to pair, which has meant that inevitably a few decent-quality show birds have departed. I was fortunate enough to win all the top seven awards at the L&DYCC show recently, the only show my birds have managed this year so far, due to other commitments.
