LEARNING OBJECTIVES

I have been teaching people to paint for about a hundred years and the same problems and questions have arisen time and again as each new class starts. If it were possible to buy your painting kit and immediately sit down to paint a perfect picture, I would be out of a job! You wouldn't expect to buy a musical instrument and a sheet of music then play a perfect tune, would you? You have to learn a new skill and the quickest way is by making mistakes. Even quicker is to learn from those mistakes with some expert and timely advice so that you don't make them again.

So I hope the following helps you understand why the mistake has happened, help you to correct it, then help you learn from your mistakes by offering you useful advice.
