Torquing about brakes

was in process of changing a brake master cylinder on a Discovery a few weeks back. The Discovery is actually a very tidy vehicle with a rebuilt motor, but the rego has expired, so for time being has been relegated to be the ‘garden tractor’ towing the trailer for all the tree trimmings and kiwifruit prunings to the burn pile down the back. The brakes were non-existent after the master cylinder had failed, so I had been driving it around in low range with no foot brakes at all.
