ONE of my favourite sayings is: “What good is knowledge if you don't pass it on?” And this came into play recently when I went see my old clubmate Jimmy Dearnley, who is one of the founder members of the Lancashire British Bird Mule & Hybrid Club. My very first question had to be: “Why go to the club?” Jimmy: “You make friends and we talk about birds! In other words, we all talk the same language.”
