Another fitting tribute

THE second Tony Burns Memorial Tournament went ahead at the York Hall, a stone’s throw from the world-famous Repton gym in the heart of London’s East End.

As all involved with amateur boxing know, Tony devoted his life to the sport.

In 2009 he was awarded the MBE. by the late Queen Elizabeth II and his legend lives on for all who box in the iconic green and yellow vest.

A senior Elite three-threes topped the bill and it was sweet revenge for the home club’s Adeji Adegbola.
