A 300-year-old centre table was the star performer at a sale of selected contents from Exbury House in Hampshire, mounted by Woolley & Wallis last autumn. Lot 225 in the Exbury House: Le Goût Rothschild sale (previewed in Oct) showcased the Italian technique of micromosaic decoration combined with carved slabs of Siena marble.
