Maui Veterans Day Invitational ʻKayak Clashʻ

■ Aloha, friends!

It’s Boo, host of The 2022 Maui Veterans Day Invitational “Kayak Clash,” which took to the water this past Veterans Day weekend, November 11th through the 13th. This year we had a record turnout of 29 two-person teams, each with at least one veteran or first responder.

The teams chose one day out of the three days allotted to fish, and all fish caught needed to be weighed on the same day. We then added the weight of the two heaviest fish and put that on the board. We had food and drinks waiting at weigh-in for all the anglers and their ‘ohana to enjoy. Here’s how the invitational went.

Friday, Day 1
