In her celebrated career as a documentary maker, Rory Kennedy has delivered dozens of big American stories. They have included the Emmy-winning Ghosts of Abu Ghraib, the Oscar-nominated Last Days in Vietnam, and this year’s Downfall: The Case Against Boeing, about the company’s culpability in the two crashes of its 737 Max airliners, which killed 346 people in 2018 and 2019.
She has also been part of a big American story her whole life. She was born six months after the, her 2012 HBO documentary about their mother, RFK’s widow, now 94.
