93 Mure 2018 Clos Saint Landelin Grand Cru Pinot Gris (Alsace). Petrol and a bit of coriander on the nose hint at something savory and interesting. It’s dense and a little oily in texture, but linear on the palate, pulsating with notes of lemon zest and serious acidity. The finish is long and savory. 92 Joseph Cattin 2020 Hatschbourg Grand Cru Pinot Gris (Alsace). Saline aromas mingle with creamy notes and, as it opens up, a bit of petrol. This wine has a nice rounded weight to it, led by sugar-cookie flavors up front. A wave of acidity, with a pineapple tang on the finish is welcome and refreshing.
