What was it, you mean. How quickly we forget! Released on 24 August 1995, Windows 95 was probably the most successful version of Windows ever, selling one million copies in its first week, and 40 million by the end of the year. No wonder it made Bill Gates boogie (see www.snipca.com/44371).
