Landing in Normandy

I WOULD say that riding holidays are not usually my thing. If you knew me well, you’d question if I’ve wiped the memories of flying up and down Welsh beaches every year in my teens or riding among the “Big Five” in South Africa on a gap year from my mind. These were truly wonderful trips, but I have to confess that in recent times, a “horsey holiday” hasn’t even made it to the shortlist because such a trip is something of a busman’s holiday for someone for whom horses are not only their hobby, but also their day job.
