Hello, Goodbye

This is my final column for Goldmine under the banner “Now We’re 64.” This is not because anything has changed regarding my love for The Beatles. This is not because of a health issue. This is not because the magazine is laying me off.

It is because, in my mind, there was always going to be an end date, due to the fact that the stories I was writing regarding the band were less a news column than a personal observation of experiences to tell that no other Beatles fan experienced but me.

As I have a life and a career revolving around my band Twisted Sister, the release of my first book, A Twisted Business, and my motivational speaking career, there is only so much bandwidth one can devote to any one project.

My Goldmine editor, Patrick Prince, a great friend and supporter of my band, knew for many years about my love for all things Beatles. It was with that thought in mind that he approached me about writing a story about my love of the band.
